62% OF GIRLS IN PAKISTAN HAVE NEVER BEEN TO SCHOOL. let's take a moment to let that sink in........ Pakistan has the second highest rank in South Asia with such a high gap between girls and boys school enrollment. Why leave the girls behind? It shouldn't be this way, which is why SOL works so hard to educate the girls in Pakistan. The girl to boy ratio in SOL schools is better than the boy to girl ratio in the Indianapolis Public Schools (IPS) right here at home. Please donate whatever it is you can to make sure that OUR girls don't get left behind in this society. #SOL
When planning this great adventure, Babar Suleman knew he wanted to use the opportunity to raise funds for a cause. The question was, which one? With so many amazing organizations doing work around the world, Babar narrowed his focus to an organization focused on education and women’s rights, and a cause that particularly emphasized education of girls and women. With this goal in mind, the choice was clear: The Citizens Foundation.
Father-and-son team of Babar and Haris Suleman will fly around the world in 30 days in a single-engine plane to raise money to build schools in rural Pakistan! Together, they will travel nearly 26,000 miles, through 25 cities, during the course of several hundred hours! Follow their progress by clicking “Babar’s Blog.”
